H2NEXGEN is founded by a team passionate about addressing GHG emissions causing the environmental and economic damage of climate change. Addressing it requires the avoidance of present and future GHG emission and equally important is also to remove legacy GHG emissions that are already in our atmosphere.
Hydrogen is deemed as an effective solution for climate change mitigation. The hydrogen however, must be of the type that is of:

• carbon-negative GHG emission intensity, results in the removal of legacy GHG and the avoidance of present and future emission.
• carbon-neutral GHG emission intensity, results in only the avoidance of present and future emission.

H2NEXGEN’s primary focus is on delivering hydrogen solutions that are carbon-negative or at least carbon-neutral, for businesses to decarbonize. They include derivative products e-methanol, carbon-negative fertilizer, SAF (sustainable aviation fuel) and bio-diesel.
H2NEXGEN’s solution is a modular production systems that will be installed nearest to or at the client’s site, to enable lowest cost for the carbon-negative hydrogen solution. This way the client benefits from achieving optimal decarbonization impact and at the lowest cost.

Being a Malaysia based business, H2NEXGEN has the advantage of the availability of POME (palm oil mill effluent) derived bio-methane and also bio-CO2, due to Malaysia’s vast oil palm industry. These are feedstocks in the production of carbon-negative hydrogen and its derivative products.

The plasmalysis based hydrogen production technology requires 5x or lesser RE (renewable electricity) and maintenance cost versus electrolysis hydrogen production. H2NEXGEN’s carbon-negative hydrogen (-1 to -10.4 tonne CO2e per tonne hydrogen) is cost similar to carbon-positive blue hydrogen (+3.32 tonne CO2e per tonne hydrogen) option.
